1927 Cadillac , the original Escalade, Beautiful historical Classic , originally sold in NY city Cadillac dealership by famous Cadillac dealer and American Aviator Inglis M. Uppercu . The roaring twenties were well underway by the time this 1927 Cadillac Model 314 was produced. If you arrived in this Cadillac you certainly were among the many that had made it !. This wheelbase measures in at 138 in and has an original L-head V8 . Upgraded with a distributor to be more reliable. Its Black paint shines up really well especially against the chrome. This black ’27 Cadillac has Fisher coachwork with original wooden artillery wheels. The car is straight and complete with many original details in place like intricate woodwork, original chrome headlights bearing the Cadillac emblems and decorative badging. Note the original 1927 NY front license plate in front between the headlights. The interior looks very original or restored many decades ago. The intricate dash design is a reminder that this was the height of automotive luxury in period, and the wood looks to be in good condition. Notice the pull-down rear window shades and note the interesting half-moon gauges and rotating drum speedometer. The original 314ci V8 starts easily and the car is drivable with working brakes. This engine features an L–head valve train, downdraft carburetor, and 90° cross-plane crankshaft that produced far less vibration than the original 180 degree flat plane crankshaft previously employed by Cadillac. .
